The ContinuousWave (CW) Series of AC power sources provides clean single phase power at an impressive price/performance ratio. These compact switch mode sources come in two series, manual (CW 2501M) or programmable (CW 2501P) with standard IEEE-488.2 or RS-232 control. Both series have three power levels, 800 VA, 1250 VA and 2500 VA. The 800 and 1250 VA models are 2U (3.5″) high and allow the unit under test to be connected to the front or rear panel. The 2500 VA model is 3U (5.25″) high with rear panel output connections. All models can be operated in a benchtop or rackmount configuration.


This unit is in very good to excellent condition. It has been fully tested and as you can see from the various photos the unit works flawlessly. It does have one peculiarity. The front panel overlay is for that of a 5KVA unit which this is not. The unit is a 3001iX which is a 3KVA unit as identified by the part ID label on the rear of the unit. We are in the process of ordering the correct label now.

This Ametek Elgar SW5250A-3-3-2 has just been factory calibrated. It is in very good condition. One of the advantages of this configuration is the first -3 in the option chain represents PFC input. This takes the unit from about 70% efficiency to about 92% efficiency, thus saving the user a lot of electricity usage and thus “money”.


This HP 6813A has been refurbished and is in very good condition. The HP – Agilent 6813A AC Power Source / Analyzer is a single phase source / analyzer offering 45Hz to 1kHz output frequency range, 1750va output power, 300v max. rms voltage output, ±425v dc voltage range, 13a max. rms current output, 10a max. dc current output, arbitrary waveform generation, built-in harmonic analysis capability, built-in HP-IB and RS-232 interface with SCPI programming.


This Elgar CW801P-H unit is in close to new condition . It works perfectly and has been load tested. The unit is capable of producing 800VA of power in low range to 135Vrms and 5.9 amps or high range at 270 Vrms with 2.96 amps. The H enhancement allows a stable output at frequencies to 1000 hertz. I gaurantee this unit functionally will pass calibration by any NIST accredited laboratory. Cosmetically it is extremely good.
